For those seeking to brighten their winter evenings, a new live venue has launched in Fleet Street Quarter, in the City of London. DasDas Box, within the Urban Farmer Project, has a varied programme underpinned by a focus on community and sustainability.
A cafe during the day, DasDas Box will host an ongoing programme of weeknight events from live music to comedy. Upcoming highlights include:
● The Stage is Yours: Open Mic Night, 25 January 7.30pm. Step into the spotlight and let your talent shine! The Stage is Yours is an electrifying open mic night celebrating raw talent and creativity. Whether you’re a musician, poet, comedian, or storyteller, this is your chance to share your art with a supportive and vibrant audience.
● Start-Up Comedy & Quiz Night, 3 February 7.30pm. A night full of laughter, fun, and brain-teasing challenges. The evening kicks off with a Start-Up Comedy Night, for new and rising comedians to deliver their best punchlines; followed by a quiz hosted by acclaimed Turkish actors Özgün Aydin and Burak Topaloglu
● The 3rd Culture Collective presents Psychic Jazz Experiment, F.R.I.E.N.D Night: Ending Loneliness | DJ Voltage West 7 February 8.00pm. Experience a captivating blend of ethnic jazz and fusion with Jomy Jai, Salih Korkut Peker, James Heggarty, Gökhan Demirdögmez, and special guests Cana Cankaya and Jabbar. DasDas Box partners with Mind to present a night filled with music, joy, and the chance to meet new people, to tackle loneliness and support mental health. All proceeds will go to the charity.
● Unchained Melodies: A Valentine's Day Duo Performance by Cana Cankaya & Jomy Jai, 14 February, 7.30pm. An unforgettable night of live music, cheese boards, and fine wine this Valentine's Day! Whether you're celebrating with someone special or your favourite group of friends, this is the perfect way to spend a cosy, romantic evening.

DasDas Box sits within the new Urban Farmer Project, which opened at the end of 2024 as a dynamic marketplace, educational hub and events space dedicated to tackling food poverty and widen access to sustainable farm produce.
The Urban Farmer Project will also function as a showroom for circular economy practices and advanced food-growing technologies such as hydroponics.
Visitors can enjoy:
● PLANTATION by Alicja Patanowska – a living installation made up of hand-made porcelain pieces combined with 200 upcycled drink glasses to grow an array plants, herbs and vegetables using hydroponics. The work is inspired by Patanowska’s interest in the concepts of waste and luxury, and a desire to spread a deeper interest in caring for plants and the environment. Now on view until early March, visitors can purchase the porcelain pieces with beginner instructions on site to make a hydroponic garden at home. Another of the artist’s installations (We Are the Weather) is now on show in Brussels to coincide with the Polish presidency of the Council of the European Union
● Farm Shop – Celebrating the best of British agriculture and local artisan food producers featuring products such as Enfield Veg Co, Lee Valley Honey, and Caple Manor Wines
● Monthly Farmers Market – Bringing together communities, this market will support local farmers and foster connections among those dedicated to sustainable food practices.
