BIDs are successful strategic vehicles for making improvements and change within a designated area on behalf of a business community. The Partnership will drive this process forward to enable the facilitation of regeneration improvements for the area, be a collective voice for the business community and provide significant opportunities for employers and employees.

As the BID develops there will be a focus on strategic themes, Public Realm, Wayfinding, Destination Marketing, Sustainability and Corporate Community Engagement.

As a BID, we will offer a voice to the Fleet Street Quarter business community – championing local priorities and ensuring the right people are at the decision table. Businesses understand that together they can be stronger; lobbying on big, strategic issues that impact on their commercial performance and ability to grow. This is not a case of the private sector plugging public sector funding gaps, but genuine collaboration and collective action.

With an emphasis on providing additionality and adding value to the vital work of the City Corporation, a BID for the Fleet Street Quarter will be a key delivery partner for the area and your advocate as we seek to rebuild a stronger future for us all.

Local businesses control the BID and pay for it through a small levy payable by all businesses with a rateable value of £180,000 or greater. The BID’s activities are delivered through a not-for-profit company directed by a voluntary board of local business leaders, to which the BID executive team is accountable.
