This summer, Fleet Street Quarter is once again transformed into a buzzing hotspot of urban sport as Wallball returns to New Street Square for a second sensational year of summer sport. Hosted by Landsec and the Fleet Street Quarter, in partnership with 1WALL, this unique activation brings high-energy sport, eye-popping street art, and community spirit to the heart of our district.
Against the backdrop of a bold and colourful mural by acclaimed artist Donough O’Malley, the City of London’s first ever community Wallball court offers a sporting spectacle unlike any other. A dynamic fusion of squash and handball, Wallball is played by hitting a ball against a wall using just your hands – simple to pick up, addictive to master, and completely free to play.
Already a global hit with a thriving World Tour and Olympic aspirations, Wallball is making waves – and you’re invited to be part of the action.
Outside of coaching hours, Wallball balls can be borrowed from reception at 6 New Street Square from Thursday 31st July. Participants are reminded to review and adhere to the Health and Safety Terms and Conditions here prior to play.
What’s On: A Summer Full of Action and Challenges
The Fleet Street Quarter Wallball Court is a centre of action, bringing together coaching, competition, and community spirit. From Tuesday 29th July through to early September, each week will feature a new wallball challenge to keep players engaged and the energy high.

Never played before? No problem. Free sessions are available throughout the summer, led by expert coaches and members of Team GBR.

Each week offers its own unique competition — test your speed, trick shot skills, and teamwork:
🤝 29 – 31 July – Beat the Coach: An introduction to Wallball
60 seconds. One coach. One player. Learn everything you need to know from a UK Wallball coach and set yourself up for our Summer challenges.
⏱️ All Summer – Time Challenge
30 seconds on the clock. How many flawless hits can you make? The weekly top three make the leaderboard. Final showdown on the first week of September. High Score to Beat from last year: Zain from Deloitte – 33 hits in 30 seconds!
🏃 5–7 August – Around the Wall in 30 Seconds
Three spots. One mission. Hit the wall from left, centre, right, then repeat! You’ve got 30 seconds to make it “around the wall” as many times as possible. Precision and speed = points.
⚡ 12–14 August – Speed Week
10 balls. One wall. Pure chaos. Smash the ball, sprint to the next, and repeat as fast as you can! Time stops when your last ball hits the wall. Fastest finishers make the leaderboard. Warning: Balls may go flying!
🎯 19–21 August – Trick Shot Challenge & Beat the GB Players
Channel your inner 1Wall pro! Mimic jaw-dropping trick shots from Team GB coaches and players. Score points for accuracy and flair. Bonus: Face off with a Team GB player in a 60-second challenge. Bragging rights (and leaderboard glory) await.
🔁 26–28 August – 1Wall Relay (Teams of 3–5)
Tag-team 1Wall! Team up. Tap in. Tag out. Each player must hit the wall 10 times before the next teammate jumps in. Fastest, slickest team wins. Teamwork makes the leaderboard!
🏢 2–4 September – Corporate Clash Mini League
Office champions, this is your moment. Back to work, back to 1Wall! Teams of 2–6 compete in 2-minute matches in a fast-paced round-robin format. Bonus points for team names, chants, and wild uniforms. Who will bring home the 1Wall bragging rights?
🎯(All summer) Landsec Tenant App Challenge
To celebrate the new Landsec Tenant App, hit the branded target for points and glory. 3 shots per turn – most hits in 30 seconds makes the leaderboard. Hit the bullseye and get featured on social media. Leaderboard challenge? Most hits in 30 seconds = top of the board.

Each week, challengers can win a £20 voucher – six to be won!
Loyalty cards mean regular players don’t leave empty-handed – play 10 times and receive a £5 voucher.
And for the most dedicated? The ultimate title of MVP – Office or Player of the Summer, with a £100 grand prize.
