Creating a Connected Community

CREATING A CONNECTED COMMUNITY

Working with our business members and the City Corporation we aim to create an inclusive, innovative and sustainable business ecosystem. We want to strengthen relationships between businesses, support charitable initiatives, and offer free events and activities for local workers. Our community is important to us, there is a unique sense of ‘neighbourhood’ across our footprint and as a BID we want to harness this and build on it.

NEIGHBOURLY PARTNERSHIP

Through our partnership with Neighbourly, we connect businesses with local charities and community projects across the Quarter. From volunteering opportunities to donations, the platform helps companies channel their time, skills and resources where they are most needed. It’s a simple and effective way for businesses to make a tangible impact while strengthening ties with the local community.

THE GREAT FLEET STREET QUARTER COOK OFF

The Great Fleet Street Quarter Cook Off at CORD is a highlight of the FSQ calendar. Launched by us in 2024 and hosted in partnership with Le Cordon Bleu London, it sees businesses from across the Quarter step into a professional kitchen for a friendly culinary challenge. Cheered on by colleagues and peers, participants showcase creativity, teamwork and competitive spirit. Beyond the cooking, the FSQ Cook Off strengthens relationships between businesses and celebrates the hospitality at the heart of our area.

DISCOVER FLEET STREET QUARTER

Fleet Street Quarter is full of hidden gems, from historic courtyards to famous architecture. Our Discover FSQ programme invites businesses and new workers to explore the area through guided walks, talks, and tours. Led by expert partners, these sessions bring the Quarter’s heritage and future to life, giving people the chance to connect with the place they work.

NETWORKING EVENTS

Our Business Breakfasts and Lunch & Learns are about connection and collaboration. They bring together senior representatives from across the BID footprint for lively discussion and opportunities to hear from influential voices on issues shaping the City and our world. Recent sessions have featured partners such as Mott MacDonald and Thames Reach, sparking conversations on sustainability, social value and community impact. The Breakfasts provide a trusted forum for ideas, learning, networking and action.
