Fleet Street Quarter Ambassadors join forces with the Cyber Resilience Centre for London to share practical advice and tools with local businesses.
Last week, more than 35 businesses received practical support to protect themselves against cybercrime during a successful engagement day of action led by Fleet Street Quarter Ambassadors in partnership with the Cyber Resilience Centre for London.
Two teams visited businesses across the area, speaking directly with owners and staff about the cyber threats that can affect organisations of every size. Each business was given useful tools, straightforward guidance and practical steps to help improve its online security and reduce the risk of becoming a victim of cyber-crime this winter.
The day focused on making cyber resilience accessible and achievable, without the overwhelming jargon or faff of endless booklets. Conversations covered simple protective measures such as using strong, unique passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, keeping software up to date, recognising what constitutes suspicious messages and making sure important business information is backed up securely.
The face-to-face approach allowed opportunity to ask questions and learn where they could find trusted support. By bringing together the local knowledge and engagement skills of the Fleet Street Quarter Ambassadors with the specialist expertise of the Cyber Resilience Centre for London, the initiative demonstrated the value of partnership working in building safer, more supported business communities.
The engagement day reached more than 35 businesses, equipping them with practical resources and greater confidence to take action against cyber-crime.
We will return to another day of action scheduled for March 2027, watch this space or reach out to beth.nash@fleetstreetquarter.co.uk if you would like support in the meantime.
